About me

My name is Raphael Kirchner. I studied philosophy and psychology before eventually finding my way into software development.

Notes have been part of my life for almost as long as I can remember. Since my teenage years, I have kept journals, captured ideas and built personal knowledge archives — first by hand in countless notebooks, and later with tools such as TiddlyWiki, Evernote, Obsidian and a few small tools of my own.

For me, notes are more than a way to store information. They are central to how I think, make connections and work over time — both on ideas and on myself. As a developer, I am also interested in how personal archives can remain open, portable and genuinely useful in the long run.

On Diaporeo, I collect thoughts, experiences and small tools from a life of taking notes — and share them in the hope that others may find them useful too.
